Gluten Free Recipe Exchange

Getting a little bored with some of your meals lately? Looking for something new and interesting to try? Why not come up to Washington Heights and meet some other cooking enthusiasts for a recipe exchange?

We can spend the afternoon sampling dishes from other GF kitchens and building up our repertoire!

What you should bring:

-A blank notebook for writing down new favorites, cooking tips and phone numbers for cooking buddies!

-1 dish for everyone to sample and the corresponding recipe.

-Any additional recipes that you love and want to share.  I have lots of cookbooks and other GF info to check out as well.

My home is 100% gluten free.  If you are bringing food, please note any potential allergens and if your kitchen is shared so we can keep everyone safe.  If you don't have a favorite recipe and are attending to get some ideas, feel free to bring something store bought or juice/soda.  I will have raw veggies, homemade hummus, crackers/chips and drinks for nibbling while scribbling.  In the comments, please tell me what you'd like to bring so we can have plenty of variety.

Please be aware that I have 2 cats (don’t want to set off any other allergies) and only enough space for about 12 people in my apartment.  If this goes well, expect a pot-luck picnic this summer!

    Hi Michelle,

Sorry you won't be able to make it... Here's the link to my blog, The Foodie Chronicles (http://www.thefoodiechronicles.com). You should be able to find some great recipes on there. Also feel free to contact me at any time if you have any food(ie) questions! :)

    Cheers!

I think this is a great idea BUT I live in CT. Would you be willing to share by email the recipes that people bring/share. We have been stuck in a rut and over the past days I have been searching for new quick recipes. thanks! Michelle
