There has been another sad loss for our gluten-free community. Ruth Kleinman passed away from a heart attack in September. Ruth was like the celiac grandmother of our group. She was always so sweet and kind and always impressed me with her internet-savviness. When she was in good health, she always had such nice comments for our board. I will never forget when I first met Ruth at the NYC Cooking Spree when she said "Celiac men and women are all so beautiful. Guess this gluten-free is working for us." My condolences to Ruth's family on their loss.

Aileen had contacted me to inquire about Ruth. I hadn't heard from her for quite a while either...and I felt somewhere deep down that she might have passed away and I couldn't face it. She was such a sweet lady. Like another grandparent I suddenly met as part of this group. I had been planning to bring her some new GF bread to try. I am just speechless. Another deep loss.
