Thoroughly intertwined, philosophy and film represent a complex interplay between thought, perception, time, ethics, memory, and aesthetics, among many other concepts. From Blade Runner to Memento, from Before the Sunset to The Passenger, from Alien to La Dolce Vita, and many, many more amazing movies in between, philosophy has underpinned the creation and making of cinema while cinema, in turn, has helped to redefine and rethink philosophical categories, sex, gender, time and space, and to create new concepts that illuminate phenomenology, metaphysics, and epistemology.

The purpose of this group is to explore and discuss these and other related issues in an engaging forum. Currently, the intent is to meet once a month, or more frequently if there is enough interest to do so. Hoping to see you at the next meeting!
