Learn how Music Helps our Babies!

We were approached by Music Together of West Hartford (Catherine Madrak) to give a free demonstration of their classes!

I cannot attend, so Abi has kindly agreed to "host" (act as the organizer with name tags, sign in sheets, and introductions). I am sure she will appreciate all assistance offered! Please let me know if you are interested attending.  Here are more details from Pam Heger:

It's suggested that participants each bring a baby blanket to spread out on the floor. Nursing, bottle feeding and diaper changing are all fine to do right in our classroom. We'll make sure everyone is comfortable. This is a supportive environment and we look forward to meeting members and babies! RSVP at:

The class will be held at:  Congregation Beth Israel at 701 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford

You may park right on Farmington Ave and enter through the wooden doors near the circular driveway (no stairs to climb this way) or in the rear parking lot which is accessed by turning onto S. Highland Street and then onto Fennway (this entrance requires about 12 steps – good to know about if you have a stroller!). Both doors are secure, so please ring the buzzer according to the posted instructions to gain entry to the building. Classes take place in Feldman Hall on the main level of the building. You will no doubt hear music coming from the room!

Thanks Shelly...yeah, I don't think we can afford that either right now! Stacy, I'll look into that one too!

There's also a separate Meetup group run by the MusicMaker's Academy in Manchester... They have a class 1-2x/month through Meetup where you pay per class ($8/class). It's "The Greater Hartford Area Parents Meetup Group." I think if you join and go to their classes you can also get 20% off one of their class series. Down side is it's in Manchester!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
