I don't have any culinary training, but I love to cook and entertain! My husband and I think there must be other home cooks who like to experiment with impressive meals and home entertaining. Members of this group would take turns hosting a nice dinner at their home. The host would set the number of guests they could accomodate, the date, the menu, and a conservative cost for each person. The host should only recoup actual expenses, and not make a profit! This could be a chance to try out new or unusual recipes or have a theme for the evening. The goal would be to have a dinner party once a month. If membership grows too large, then multiple hosts could offer a dinner party in the same month, and members could choose which one to attend. All members would be expected to host at least once a year, depending on the number of members. Hosts could provide beverages or they could announce their dinner as a BYOB.
Reservations would be accepted as they are made until the maximum number of guests is reached. A waiting list could then be started. Are you a closet chef or a Food Network junkie? Then join us!
