Hey Ladies, We have been invited back to the MAC Counter at Macy's Millenia Mall by the wonderful artists for there "Fashion Forward" Makeover Event which just happens to fall on the same day as the TRI-ESS Spring Fling.
So here are the Makeover details:
They are booking Makeovers for us begining at 11am with the last Makeover scheduled at 7pm. I will be there at 4pm for an appointment. Artist will be at lunch between 1 and 2 so there are no appointments then.
There is limited space so you will need to book as earlier as possible.
There is a $50 deposit to secure a appointment, that $50 can by applied to the purchase of MAC products essentially the makeover is free with the purchase of $50 in product. The Artists are not compensated for the Makeovers so please bring some cash to TIP them.
Here is the way to secure an appointment. Call the counter at [masked] and ask for Jamie first however you can book with any artist to schedule a time. You will need to give your Credit Card number to secure a spot.

I know you have questions so let me try to answer them:
Is Millenia Mall a safe place to go to? YES, very safe. I have been to this Mall at least 3 dozen times and never had an incident. There is no better time to get out then to this event. There will be a group of girls there plus security and cameras everywhere. Again, there is no better opportunity to get your makeup done with a group of girls then this one. I have posted pix of myself here at this Mall.
Are the Artists really able to work on my face? MAC artists are at the top of the industry. They will make you feel comfortable and connect with you while you're having your face done. Again, I have posted pix of myself with this Meetup so you can check out their work.
How should I dress for this event? You can come dressed however you'd like. I personally have had my makeup done dressed both ways as you can see from the pix. There is not a place for you to change there. Keep in mind, if you are planning on venturing in to the Mall something blendable is your best option. Do not wear any makeup to the appointment the artist will just take it off anyway.
Can I just show up without an appointment? Of course however you may not be able to get your makeup done. They will be scheduling artists especially for us based on the number of RSVPed girls we have coming and scheduling requires a week to 10 days time. Please keep this in mind.
Will there be other shoppers there too? Yes, of course. If you've never done this before don't worry and relax. After a few moments of people watching, you will figure out that people are so caught up in what they're doing they're not paying any attention to you and if they are, they're curious. Every time I do this people come up to me and start a conversation about what I'm doing and where I'm going, all you have to do is smile and have a chat with them. I have done this a couple of dozen times, just have fun!
You mentioned a gratuity for the Artists, what is appropriate? Please keep in mind the Artists are not compensated for the makeovers and your $50 deposit goes toward the purchase of MAC products. For me an appropriate TIP is $60. I have been doing this for quite some time and know a couple of dozen makeup artists. I am well aware that you can not go anywhere and get a Makeover of this caliber for $60. I am not setting the gratuity for you, TIP what you feel is appropriate. At $50 for MAC products and $60 to the artist at $110 the value is phenomenal.
Even if you can do your own Makeup well, please come to this event. I learn something new every time I have a MAC Makeover. The artists are constantly being updated to the latest looks and products and I'm sure you will learn something. Plus MAC is a great community supporter and they have gone out of their way to create this event for us.
This will be an outstanding event for sure and everyone is guaranteed to have a great time. Don't let this opportunity to get a world class makeover pass you by, it may not happen again in this context. Please RSVP early. I can't wait to see you. Kisses, Camille
