Thanks to CFRPiUG member Jim Diaz for joining BE, sharing his hardware, time, and energy to help inspire kids to explore math, science, and technology at the Coalition for the Homeless. A photoset from the most successful event were posted by BE organizer Tee here http://www.meetup.com/BEOrlando/photos/20696482/343008792/

If you haven't been here before (it is our first time too) the parking lot is across Kerry Rd on the East side of the Coalition. The actual entrance is from Grove Park Dr.

I'll be doing a workshop to prep volunteers for the Science Center Pi day most likely this Friday at FamiLAB. If someone wants to volunteer for the BE/Coalition for the Homeless Pi Day event, they can attend that workshop. I could prep one or more of you to do a presentation using Raspberry Pi/Python and Minecraft Pi edition. Python knowledge would be good, but if you don't have that we could improvise and create a simplified version of the presentation. In any case I could set you up to show off the RP, and minecraft…

Please respond if you are interested.

Rami, This is a great opportunity for some of our group to step up and help. I'm committed to Pi day workshops all weekend long at the Orlando Science Center, So regretfully, I'll not be able to make it. Let's make this happen somehow!
