A note to developers… I'm not sure how much any of you get to spend on troubleshooting and beta testing, but this even is a good opportunity to see the Raspberry Pi being used with external hardware (Arduino, neopixels, etc.) and kids using the API to customize their experience. Just food for thought and insight into how one can benefit through observation and research...

This is very true: human factors is a formal field from which valuable UI and other information is obtained. I get the sense we should contact professors from UCF who teach, observe, and research human factors for their, and the field's benefit, in return for their written observations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn much usability, which of course benefits the developers, and makes them more valuable.

Observing and guiding the dozen or so kids Sunday through Python Games and Pi Edition Minecraft was quite the experience!

Most awesome: I always come out of these richer in knowledge and developer community.

What is the youngest age for attending this 3pm Pi Day event?

    • Mac R.

Rami, Kids of all ages with parental supervision. The lab workshop is no place for kids to wander unattended. The majority of the event will be in the meeting room.

In addition to the Pi Day is Friday event, I'll be holding a workshop this Friday at FamiLAB at 7 p.m. in Longwood to train volunteers how to present with the Raspberry Pi for both the Orlando Science Center and the BE Event. It is open to members from FamiLAB and the meetup groups BE and CFRPUG whom are willing to volunteer for this weekends events.

BE members that want to know more about the Raspberry Pi computer are welcome to join us but must also commit to volunteering with Rami at the Raspberry Pi booth on Sunday. BE will reach out to the UCF students and I will also reach out to Full Sail for additional help. Is anyone from Rollins, Valencia, or Seminole State able to get students to volunteer?
    More about BE is here:
