OK. It's official. Eben Upton, the founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation will be at FamiLAB Friday, October 5th, 2012. While Rob from the foundation will be doing a tour soon, Eben mostly likely won't be with him, so this is a rare opportunity!

Also, FamiLAB members with Pis'. There will be a Raspberry Pi build-off this coming Saturday, September 29th. I've had a project I've been wanting to work on, but my schedule has been busy. I'm going to have to open up time for this, though..

I'm opening the build-off as a separate RSVP..

Once again, FamiLAB delivers a great space full of motivated thinkers. The Eben Upton event was fantastic! Eben and his wife Liz were so kind that they stayed late into the night. FamiLAB put together a platform for Eben to present on in the workshop and even provided beverages and treats including raspberry tarts for the guests! The attendees were enthusiastic and many participants had extraordinary projects to share. Eben liked the wiimote controlled multifunction camera controller and Liz favored the mini arcade game comprised of a raspberry pi in a custom laser cut chassis. There will be follow up posts on the projects soon.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
