I know it feels like the summer is nearing end and the time has past for the joy of thinking of salads, soups and dressings, but it's not! Trust me with all of the tropical fruits and the start of the fall plantings the time it just starting for the mastering of the salads, soups and dressings. Join us for a talk, demo and tasting of successful Soups, Salads and Salad Dressings class. We'll cover picking, using, combining and storing your fresh fruits and vegetables. You'll hear tips for making the best salad and salad dressings you could imagine and yummy creamy, savory, and brothy soups you'll love. At least that is my hope! Come See, Taste and Enjoy!

    The class was awesome! Of course it prompted me to go shopping! Yesterday I got a modestly priced Jack LaLanne juicer & a very modestly priced dehydrator (I don't have lots of $$$), then I went to Hoover's. By the way Hoover's now has Irish moss; their raw section is growing rapidly. Last night I started some soy sprouts and lavendar-mint water. This morning I had a fruit salad with your recipe for the dressing/marinade for breakfast with several servings of the water. It was delightful! Do you think the juicer I got will be serviceable? Will it be able to make wheatgrass juice?

      Look at you Shirlene! Off and running! The juicer will work fine but will be a challenge for wheatgrass. Try small amounts and wrap it in a kale or spinach leaf when pushing through the hopper. Follow it with a harder fruit or veggie. It wii be next to impossible to juice the wheatgrass alone. Hit a juicing class or when a little time is on my hands I'll give you some tips. So happy for you, an inspiration for sure. You RAWK my heart!
