For the people who want to make a weekend out of this wonderful paddle, Lois Vega has offered to allow the Slackers to camp on her large property. I am asking everyone who camps to donate $5.00 to help with costs.

I75 to exit 301. West on hwy. 50 to truck bypass, left on hwy. 41, right on Wiscon , (at the traffic light). left on Mullins Rd, which is a limerock road, property is the first driveway on the left. lots of shade. [masked]-1201.
Weeki Wachee is a fan favorite. Crystal clear water extends through the whole run; where just about any spot you choose to get out and play is great. It's a major spring that does create a very swift current in the upper six miles.
The river is a haven for manatee with its one hundred cubic feet of year-round 72 degree water of unusual clarity bubbles continuously from a large spring rising from the limestone bottom of the headwaters of the river, a novelty which created a famous underwater attraction.

$6.00 launch fee to outfitters inside park.
$3.00 parking fee at Rodgers Park.
**After unloading at outfitters, DO NOT leave vehicles inside outfitters parking lot, they close and lock gate in early afternoon. Park outside in W.W. attraction parking lot.
