Hi! I am addicted to kayaking, camping or kayaking/camping.
If it's a paddle I'm interested in, distance is immaterial.
I have none. Probably would not attend any backpacking events due to my lower back issues.
Getting together with people who share the same enjoyment of being outdoors.
maybe an occasional "social" event
Great members and great organizers.
Hi Joanne. Nice meeting you to see the Tiffany collection today. It was very worth the drive! Here's the info on the St. Pete arts places we talked about:
Dali Museum - thedali.org
Chilhuly Glass Collection at the Morean Arts Center - http://www.moreanartscenter.org/conte...
Museum of Fine Art - http://fine-arts.org/
I did not get a site. After John posted about the park being booked I gave up on the idea. I don't know if there are any other camping sites nearby so I am just going to return home and forgo the Sunday paddle. Sorry, I was looking forward to using my popup, too.
Thank you for joining Orlando Outdoors, we are committed to having a great time exploring beautiful Florida and we are excited that you will be there with us!

Nothing like rock shrimp. When do you plan to be there John B
Sorry about the mix up at Lil Econ. I did not find it my first time..and I had GPS coordinates (but did not know how to use them). So I driove there anyway to be sure I knew where it was....ONLY To be honest..there are a couple put in locations. The next time we went it was in a totally different spot. YIKES. There are some trail maps. But I try to follow the kayaks and hope I'm following the right one!
Going to miss you on the Suwannee - but the river will be there for you later.
Thanks, Joanne! I've signed up for the Everglades paddle. I loved the way you "trained" Paulie!
Hi Joanne, It's shallow on the first 3/4 of the river and the curent is enough to take you slow and easy so whatever yak fits your backside best for a 3 to 4 hr trip would be my advice.
Bring the dogs with you, Gators love em. Kidding.... Went on the Alafia this weekend and found a nice camp ground that I plan to tell our leader about.
