We had a great 2012 and look forward to a better 2013. We already have a number of outtings planned and will be adding more as the year goes along.
We are making a few changes to the group
- We are going to charge a $10.00 per year membership fee this year. Everyone has until March 1, 2013 to make their payments. This will give everyone a couple of months to participate in the group before deciding if they want to stay a member. Anyone who has not paid by that date will be removed from the group. All money collected will go back into the group. It will help pay our Meetup fees and with all other costs involved in running the group. We also will use funds to buy outdoor equipment (kayak, backpacking and hiking equipment etc) and will periodically have drawings to award the equipment to lucky members. If anyone can not use PayPal (no account or prefers not to use this method of payment) please contact me about an alternative way to pay.
- Each organizer will set thier own rules for their trips.
- We have a new "Waiver of Liability form" that you must read . It is in the "MORE" tab under FILE Slackers. Each time you have signed up for an outting or event it will imply that you have read and agreed to the terms of the waiver. By participating in any Simply Laidback Adventures Campers and Kayakers event is proof of your intention to accept the complete and unconditional WAIVER AND RELEASE of all liability to the full extent of the law. All members must be 18 year of age or older and mentally competent to enter into this waiver.
