One of the best weather days we have had on this event. Cloud cover all day, temperature comfortable, not much river traffic. Good trip

I live in Chillicothe and can give you a short cut that will only take a few extra minutes to get around the part of the road that is closed. I'm heading to Henry leaving Chillicothe at 6 am. Anyone who would like to follow me, can met me at the McDonald's in Chillicothe.

If you all want to try to meet, you can look for my wood kayak and use that as a gathering point. FYI, I'm self shuttling so I probably won't be unloading at Henry until about 8 :30.

    From Chili chamber:
Detour for HLC Participants....If the Viaduct is closed on Sunday, please use the attached map (messy) to get you around the construction. Coming from the South (Peoria) Rte 29 at Truitt - turn left; go to stop sign at Santa Fe - go one block up to Benedict and Turn Right. This road takes you out of town over railroad tracks and winds around past the back side of the Paint Ball Pits. Keep going until you reach a stop sign at a T - turn right. This will be Hart Lane and it will wind down to 29 where you will turn Left and on to Henry. Anyone coming from the North, just read the instructions in reverse.
    Thank you for your patience.

We read in the Peoria Journal Star that route 29 on the north side of Chillicothe the railroad bridge and road will be closed. There is a 20 mile detour.
