The purpose of “Central Jersey Lovers of All Things Italian!" is to provide opportunities for all who are interested in any or all aspects of Italian culture, to socialize and share enjoyable experiences with other like-minded persons.

These aspects of Italian culture include dining, movies(with English subtitles), music, practicing Italian language skills, comedy and other entertainment, art, history (e.g. the Pompeii exhibit in NY City on May 18, 2011),and festivals.

Please consider joining us for an outing! We look forward to welcoming you to "I Central Jersey Amanti delle tutte cose italiane!"

NOTE:

*** After each event that you attend, Meetup will ask you to rate it on that event's page (with one to five stars). Please keep in mind that you are not rating the specific film, restaurant, opera, etc., but instead, how you enjoyed the meetup experience itself. Your comments, of course, can reflect your feelings about the specific restaurant, movie, festival, etc.

*** Instead of imposing a Membership fee to help pay for the Meetup.com costs, we request that each attendee throw in a dollar at each event. Meetup.com charges the organizer $150 per year for the use of the meetup site. Some organizers have been known to go hog wild with membership fees, but you won't find that here. We just want to cover our operating costs, and we are glad you are with us! Thanks!

*** Also, it is not necessary to RSVP  "No" to events, unless you are changing from a previous “Yes” reply. As a courtesy to the event organizer and other attendees who will be looking for you as the event starts, kindly take a moment to update your status to “not going” whenever you find your situation changes. Again, thank you!

*** As a courtesy to all members, persons who are no-shows for three events(i.e., reply "Yes" and do not update their status to "Can't attend") will be considered as not being interested, and removed from the group.
