Central London Humanist Group Social

Every first Wednesday of the month we meet for a social evening at a central London pub. Please drop by if you're non-religious and you would like to meet like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.

If you're just questioning your beliefs and aren't sure where to turn, or you are non-religious and looking for an interesting evening of debate and good company, this could be just right for you.

Some people arrive at 6.00 p.m. straight after work, but there is no specific time to be there and people arrive throughout the evening. Quite often a group of us are still engaged in debate at closing time.

A voluntary donation of £2 suggested - but first timers are welcome to give us a free trial.

You'll find us on tables with signs saying reserved for humanists, normally about 40 people turn up so we are pretty easy to find, and a very friendly group, so please come along and meet us. We look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you to Andrew, Sash Peter, Mary, David, Kerry, Aiysha, Alan, Alex and Rachel for a warm welcome and some *very* stimulating conversations on science and engineering, The Ten Commandments, the anthropological roots of religion, evolution, Sikhism, and Star Trek! I look forward to getting to know the rest of you for some more stimulating company.

Had some very interesting discussions about free will, Catholic tailoring and the bureaucratic nightmare that is the NHS, all in one evening! However, speaking for 3.5 hours at 30% higher volume than normal due to the noise does wear out the old throat.

Hi, this is my first social with this group. I hope to meet with some stimulating company. Apologies for my pic, it was an accident. The choice of photo I mean, not the face.
