Central London Humanist Group: November Meetup

Somers Town Coffeehouse (map)

Selected By: A former member

Every first Wednesday of the month we meet for a social evening at a central London pub. Drop by if you're non-religious and you would like to meet like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere. If you're just questioning your beliefs and aren't sure where to turn, or you are non-religious and looking for something less intellectual to do, this could be just right for you.

Our New Venue
Since May 2009 we meeting in our new home for our monthly social meetup. The Somers Town Coffeehouse is a family owned Bar/Bistro, run by two sisters Vanessa & Sabine, in a pleasantly refurbished grade II listed building nestled between Kings Cross and Euston stations.

Some things to note about the new venue:

  • Free Wi-fi is available.
  • All indoor facilities are wheelchair friendly/accessible.
  • We estimate its between a five to ten minutes walk from Euston and Kings Cross stations respectively.
  • Over eighteen different bus routes stop nearby!

The bar itself can be seen here on Google Streetview.

If you have any questions please email me via meetup or to ][masked].

This event is being organised by Gerard.

Entertaining conversation, as usual, but a bit short on numbers.

Difficult to hear people when battling with faulty hearing!

Good venue. Quality beer. My problem is with my hearing in quite noisy surroundings. I couldn't really cope. Did get a few words with Alice, and Steve. Then moved to a corner and spoke to John, who shares my problem, but it was still hard to hear. There are all these good people, and I can't share thoughts wi them. Thanks, God!

I liked the pub and I enjoyed meeting the people there. I certainly intend to try to attend other meetings.
