The event is part of 'Wallace 100' to raise funds for a bronze statue ofAlfred Russel Wallace who, alongside Charles Darwin, co-discovered the theory of evolution by natural selection. The statue will be unveiled by Sir David Attenborough at the Natural History Museum on 7th November. 

After the ExCel event, there’s a private party at the Linnean Society of London, to be attended by the presenters and many other people involved with the 'Wallace 100' celebrations. Limited tickets for the after-party are available to the public.
