Regent's Park Ramble

  • Apr 8, 2012 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This will be a lovely relaxed get-together, starting with a walk up the Avenue Gardens to an open air cafe (sunshine please!), The Honest Sausage. After lunch or a drink, we'll be going for a stroll, not before 1.45pm, in and around the really beautiful Queen Mary's Gardens and past the hidden Lodge Garden. Then we'll walk around the Boating Lake, which is full of native and exotic wildfowl.

Unfortunately none of the surrounding tube stations have disabled access for this walk, but buses and parking may be easier on a Sunday. Regents Park station is on the Bakerloo Line one stop North of Oxford Circus.

This is of course the long bank holiday week-end.

There will be a voluntary collection (£2 suggested) at some point on the walk.

We'll start and finish at Regent's Park Station, although people are welcome to break away to other destinations.

Lovely flowers, good company, fascinating chat (lots of it about the forthcoming book club book, the Grand Design), and interesting photos to prove it ...

Hi, regret I have to say I "may attend". This is partly because transport is difficult & partly because when I attended the fracture clinic a few days ago was told still not healed. Good Luck

The RSPB were out there on Friday showing people the Herons. Further along the Herons were just a few metres away from people, so no straining to see them likely!
