The CLHG Annual Yuletide Mythmas Party

The Central London Humanists invite you to celebrate the Yuletide Season with us in an evening that will include song, dance, merriment and even a little magic.

Put on your best dress or fancy dress for an evening of fun and frivolity.

You might find yourself sitting on Santa's knee or kissing your favourite humanist under the mistletoe.

Magician Dean Jorgensen will entertain you with his tricks throughout the evening and DJ Tony Sullivan will get you on the dance floor playing tracks from his coffin.

Signed copies of A C Grayling's books and Champagne will be among our raffle prizes.

A light buffet will be provided around 9.00 p.m. and additional meals will be available from the bar for anyone requiring anything more substantial.

The cost for this evening of delight and Winter wonder is just £10/person to help cover the cost of the buffet and room hire and is subsidised by the CLHG.

Please register your interest to come as soon as possible on Meetup as we need to organise the catering with the venue.

The bar is open until 2.00 a.m.

The Roxy has ground floor access and is therefore suitable for any guest with disability access needs.

Apologies but family stuff has come up at the last minute. Was looking forward to a night out as well! Sorry for the short notice cancellation. I hope you all have a great evening and I will definitely see everyone at the quiz on Friday.

Just an update on the best (only?) Mythmas party of the year. Obviously the brilliant music (professional DJ) and party-goers are the main attraction but this is what the raffle will be for:
    Top Prizes
    • Bottle of Champagne
    • 2 x Signed copies of AC Grayling’s ‘Ideas that Matter’ (if you haven’t read him before this is the book he recommends)
    • Signed copy of AC Grayling’s ‘Thinking of Answers’
    • 2 x ‘The Atheist’s Guide to Christmas’ (edited by Ariane Sherine)
    • ‘Planet Earth’ DVD Series
Also some secondary prizes we hope you’ll like, mainly browsed from Charity book shops
    • Book ‘The Fry Chronicles’
    • Boxed Backgammon Set
    • ‘ReLIGULOUS’ and ‘Dr Strangelove’ DVD pairing
    • ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ DVD

Wishing everyone a very merry Mythmas party.
I'll be raising a glass in France - or to put it another way I will be there in spirit :-)
    See you in January!

Am wondering whether to get some Poker chips so that I can hide quietly in the corner whilst people who can dance don't fall over laughing too much!

I think you need fairly big poker chips to hide behind
