Post-Mythmas Humanist Food Drive

Hello Everyone, we thought it was worth repeating this after the holiday season, especially since many people have a clear-out or dispose of unwanted Christmas presents at this time. See the list below for items they want. The most convenient non-religious shelter for us seems to be in King's Cross - people can drop their donations in to the Coffee House and a group of us will take them to the shelter later in the evening. It's a good mile+ from the coffeehouse so not too many heavy or bulky items please! We won't be collecting money for them this time but you can approach us to donate if you wish, or use one of the options below. Also if you’re interested in getting involved with a centre more local to you instead and are not sure what to expect or how to go about it, have a chat with Jan who helps out in her north London area, or let us put you in touch.

King's Cross shelter - Shelter from the Storm relies entirely on donations to survive. Everything you give is used purely to keep offering our services to those who need them. It costs us £10 per guest per day to provide a warm bed, breakfast, a hot evening meal and a wide range of services. Please give whatever you can using one of the following options Why not donate quickly and securely via your mobile? Just text SFTS01 to 70070 followed by £2, £5 or £10 Bank Transfers and Standing Orders can be made direct to our Bank Account : Barclays Sort Code:[masked]
Account:[masked] Gift Aid - If you are a UK Tax Payer please download, complete and send us this Gift Aid Declaration so we can claim an extra 25% of any amounts you donate directly to SFTS from the HMRC! Thank you.

A big thankyou to everone who donated in some way. We gave 8 bags of food and other supplies to the shelter and £30 in donations. They were gratefully received.

Hi Robin. Yes. Coming and going for this is flexible but I'll be looking to find enough of us to take things to the centre c8.30. Will probably not need more than 3 people.

Yes we're assembling at the pub. We'll collect all donations and then decide who's going to the shelter.
