The Central London Humanist group [CLHG] provides a meeting place for Humanists, the secular, brights and other non religious people, particularly those who live or work in the Central London area.
Once a month we hold at least one social event and one or more talk/lecture on a subject of interest to our members. Our socials are very well attended and we have been venturing into new activities - Theatre visits, a trip to Charles Darwin's home, a group's picnic and a movie night.
So if you're not religious and would like to meet like minded people, join us.
Usually a small voluntary donation (suggested £2.00) is requested at meetings.
However, you will be most welcome to come along for a trial free visit.
We are affiliated to the British Humanist Association.
We are an Associate Member of the International Humanist and Ethical Union
We are Consultative Members of the European Humanist Federation
'Non-voting members' can participate fully in events. They can suggest events, participate in organising events and much more.
To be a 'voting member' of the Central London Humanists you must be a paid up member of the BHA - membership £35 p.a. concessions £20 p.a.. (to join go here)
We are independent of the BHA but have decided on this method of determining entitlement to direct the affairs of the group, membership of the committee, voting at the AGM and any special meetings.
Members of CLHG are invited to join our Book Club and HumanAction (our social activism site)

CLHG has raised funds for the Emitos Girls Humanist Football Club in Uganda. The project, located just outside of the capital Kampala, seeks to educate and empower girls aged 12-20 years through football. It provides educational sessions for the girls and parents alike, covering issues from the prevention of HIV/AIDs to the benefits of female empowerment, and encourages girls to compete alongside boys both on and off the pitch.
Thanks to the generosity of CLHG members and the general public we have transferred over £4,100 to the project. The Emitos girls now sport football strip emblazoned with "Central London Humanists".
