You are welcome to join me on this visit to Hughenden Manor on the 1st December. This is one of my favourite NT properties.
Hughenden Manor was the country home of Benjamin Disraeli. It offers a vivid insight into the charismatic personality and colourful private life of one of the most unlikely Victorian Prime Ministers who lived here from 1848-1881.
As it is the 1st December there will be an opportunity to see Victorian Christmas decor and possibly a seasonal musical performance to help you get into the Christmas spirit.
The basic plan for the day is to visit the manor and the gardens, have lunch there, (restaurant or packed lunch) and then go for a short walk in the beautiful woodlands surrounding the manor.
