Little Chalfont & Penn bike ride

Hi Cloggies On Saturday 14th June I will be leading a 25 mile linear bike ride from Chalfont and Latimer to visit the lovely village of Penn in Bucks for lunch and finish at Chorleywood station. Meet at Chalfont and Latimer station at 10.55am. The bike ride will be along country lanes, public bridleways, minor roads and cycle paths avoiding main roads wherever possible.

The cycle route takes us to the picturesque village of Chalfont St Giles, climbing up to Penn for lunch at the The Crown. This is a Chef and Brewer pub so reasonably priced although there are plenty of grassy areas to sit and eat your sandwiches if you choose to bring a packed lunch.

After lunch we cycle past the 'Royal Standard' pub which is the oldest freehouse in England and we can stop for a drink and admire the building if we have time. The route home takes us through the outskirts of Beaconsfield and onto Chalfont St Peter before descending to Chorleywood and a tea stop before the journey home. Travel arrangements
