CLOG (Central London Outdoor Group) is a friendly outdoor activity group for people living in and around London. We are happy to welcome anyone who enjoys walking and exploring our wonderful countryside
we are a membership organisation. Most people attending events will be paid-up members but there are often a couple of prospective members from Meetup also trying out the group
you’re welcome to attend up to three events for free. Most day walks and social events are free; you normally have to be a paid-up member to go on trips away
after that we ask that you pay the subscription and become a full member. Our modest membership subscription includes some food & drink at social events and pays for our running costs
new members get the first year half-price at a bargain £15 for the entire year which is just over £1 per month (normal annual membership is £30). You can join at http://www.membermojo.co.uk/clog
unlike many other Meetup groups, CLOG only has a single membership charge. Furthermore, given that there is inevitably at least one (usually more) walk each week, this makes it a much more cost-effective option as that's less than £1 per walk if you go on a walk every week or even every fortnight On the other hand, even if you only go on about 5 walks over a year, you will still get your money's worth back.
our members are of all ages, from all walks of life and of many different nationalities
we are a non-profit-making club which was founded in 1937. We originally organised walking weekends staying in cheap accommodation such as youth hostels. Today our trips stay in a variety of accommodation
