Not So "Mini" Run for Potluck and Pavilions to QWP - 2nd Annual C3M Picnic.

Please join me in the 2nd Annual C3M Potluck Picnic at Quiet Waters Park.
Are you ready for another adventurous Sunday excursion? Similar to last year, we'll do about an hour and a half run with 2 stops (one in Crofton and one in Annapolis at the WWII Memorial) and then off to Quiet Waters Park for a Pot Luck Picnic. Some changes this year include a different meetup spot since parking was an issue at the airport viewing area (damn bikers). Also, we will be taking a slightly different route at the beginning and around Annapolis. We will NOT be stopping in downtown Annapolis since parking was an issue, but will be stopping across the Naval Academy at the WWII Memorial as well as driving through downtown Annapolis. Please plan to meet between 8:30am-9:30am
at the Panera Bread across from Arundel Mills. Park at the end of the parking lot. 7648 Arundel Mills Boulevard Hanover, MD 21076 We'll start our run from Panera Bread promptly at 9:30am with a quick stop at the Crofton McDonalds(@25 min). We'll then continue our journey in to Annapolis with another stop (@35-40min) at the WWII Memorial with a scenic view of the Naval Acadamy for a group picture first (like the one below) and then continue on to QWP. Both stops will be approximately 20 minutes long.

Here's a link for the park:
http://www.aacounty.org/RecParks/parks/quietwaters/ Quiet Waters Park has a lot to offer, so please visit their site for details, information, and rules. Dogs are allowed. I have reserved the same pavilion (Dogwood) as last year. This way we are guaranteed a spot w/cover, parking together, and grilling if want to. Total cost will be $10.00 per per car (for the pavilion) + $6.00 for parking = $16.00 PER CAR. In order to make the process and entry to the park quicker this year,
please plan to pay, in cash, the $16.00 cash at Panera Bread meeting spot. If possible, please bring exact cash. 600 Quiet Waters Park Road Annapolis, MD 21403 NOTE: If you plan to meet us at one of the rest stops (see schedule below), you can pay at that point. Also, please call or text me at the number below so we know to look out for you. Things to bring/share with everyone: - Food (Recommend you make/bring enough for minimum of 10 people) - Drink (no alcohol; sorry, not allowed). - Cameras/Camcorders - 2 way radios - Channel 7; Sub-Channel 21 - BUG SPRAY - Sunscreen - Coolers - Your cleaned and shined Mini and Mini-wear if you have it This year, we plan to have Bingo and a Raffle. For those who might not be able to start the run with us and want to meet us somewhere or for those who have last minute changes (can or can't come), please call me on my cell at[masked]-1921. Based on the dry run, here is the estimated times: 8:30am-9:30am - Meet at Panera Bread across Arundel Mills (restrooms). 9:30am - Depart from Arundel Mills 10:00am - Arrive at Crofton McDonalds. 20 minute break (restrooms). 11:15am - Arrive at the WW II Memorial in Annapolis. 20 Minute break (no restrooms). 12:15pm-12:30pm - Arrive at Quiet Waters Park (Dogwood Pavilion). - Steve

FYI - For next year, I will be investigating a different pavilion to see what else they have. Possibly something closer to a field and/or water.

My plan is to NOT hurt myself again. :-) If there's anyone who did NOT get a 2009 DVD, please let me know. For those who couldn't make it, I have a few more. Just send me a note.

    A few clarifications
    1. The cost noted above is PER CAR not Per Person. Sounds pretty reasonable afterall, huh? :-)

    3. If you know, please post what food you plan to bring/share.

RG: That would be cool if you could donate some of your items. Just let me know how much you want to provide.
Maxi: Not sure about the quiz. Marina said she wasn't sure if she would be able to make this year depending on work. We'll just have to see.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
