Welcome to the first annual Frontier Barbeque Run in scenic Fairfield Pennsylvania! Don’t be afraid we will only set foot a few miles into PA, this is in the shadow of Camp David / Site R, some of the best protected real estate in the free world, and some of the best barbeque! We will depart from Pinecliff Park (Crack Pie starting point just off I-70) 8350 Pinecliff Park Rd, Frederick, MD 21704 promptly at 10am. We will wind through the back roads of Frederick County up across the border to Fairfield Pa. There we will stop for a leisurely lunch at Frontier Barbeque, 801 Waynesboro Pike, Fairfield, PA 17320.
About 1pm, we will head back toward Frederick County toward Nutter’s Ice Cream in Sharpsburg, 100 S. Mechanic Street, Sharpsburg, MD 21782 for desert. (Anyone not wishing to continue on for ice cream will be given directions to Route 15 which connects up with I-70 to Baltimore and I-270 to the DC Beltway)
After everyone has had their fill of ice cream we will head down along the C&O canal (on the road, not on the tow path or IN the canal) and wind our way back to Frederick and Pinecliff Park. This will be almost a full day concluding at about 4pm.
