Drumming for Peace with Turning Circle

Join Alex and members of the group Turning Circle at a drum circle for the anniversary of 9/11. We'll make good medicine drumming in sacred space for connected community. Please bring any money you'd like to donate for our Fall charity - OxFam America, and any drums or rattles you have to use (or borrow ours). All levels of drummers are most welcome! Potluck feast to follow.

Turning Circle is an open, eclectic Pagan circle that has been meeting out of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia since 2004. We generally meet the 2nd and 4th Friday evenings of each month at OBIC, and welcome drop-ins at all our events. For more info, please find us at http://www.turningcircle.org/Pages/default.aspx

Our Fall charity, Oxfam America, is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice. They have a very high rating of using their funds well on sites like Charity Navigator, and work to create dignity and peace throughout the world. For more information, please see their website at http://www.oxfamamerica.org/

I am so sorry I missed this; ended up with a stomach bug and all I could think of was my bed...

Anything particularly recommended for the pot luck? I can bring an extra drum and some percussion stuff if that would help.

Anything people want to bring for pot luck is great, and extra drums and rattles are most appreciated.

Nope, we keep saying we're going to do a Facebook page for Turning Circle . . . and then it never happens. Ah well. We do have our website at turningcircle.org

Hey, if folks would like to come to a drum circle, but aren't free on Sept. 14th, Turning Circle will also be holding a Drum and Meditation circle on Oct. 12!!

We'll have some small drums and rattles to borrow and play around with at Drumming for Peace - no one has to bring their own drum to participate! Hope to see ya there!
