Note: You must RSVP for this event by August 31, so that we can provide an advance estimate on volunteers to Maryland Hall.
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (MHCA) was founded in 1979 by a group of artistic visionaries who believed the former Annapolis High School could best be re-used as a community arts center. Through year-round classes, performances, exhibits, tours, workshops and demonstrations people of all ages discover the transformative power of the arts.
Arts Alive is Maryland Hall’s largest single fundraiser, and one of our most enjoyable volunteer events of the year. Proceeds support Maryland Hall's year-round community arts programs.
This year the theme is a nautical one, “Destination Chesapeake Bay”, in a tent under the stars on Maryland Hall’s front lawn. The party includes entertainment, silent and live auctions, a raffle and appetizers all evening with signature dishes and drinks by the area’s finest restaurants, hotels and caterers.
To succeed with this evening’s events, Maryland Hall needs servers the night of the event. Requires smiles, energy, stamina and enjoying being in the midst of the party! Dinner guests serve themselves from tasting stations so table assistance is simple.
Volunteers are provided a light supper at 5pm, and will be needed in the tents around 5:30 to finish any table needs, and become familiar with locations of bars, tasting stations, busing stations, etc.
Please wear comfortable shoes, white shirt, black or dark pants. Red aprons will be provided for you.
