This is a community outreach event being held by B-More dog to try to help an area where owners do not the have the income and/or resources to vaccinate their dogs, in addition we sign up owners for free say/neuter-- which is a big way to reduce the shelter overcrowding problem we are experiencing in Baltimore. B-More Dog is a dedicated group of pit bull owners and advocates working to create a better Baltimore for dogs and their owners through outreach and education.
There is no special training required, we just ask that you approach the day with an open mind and non-judgmental attitude. The time commitment is 10am to 4pm, unfortunately we cannot make exceptions as this outreach event isn't conducive to breaking it up into shifts-- you really have to be there the whole time. The event is open to the public from 12-3pm. We ask volunteers to arrive at 10am for the morning pow-wow meeting, volunteer assignments and subsequent set-up. We ask everyone to stay until the very end for debriefing.
It's an emotional day for many of us, but fun and rewarding so well worth you're time. You're really making a difference in the lives of the dogs and the people they live with!
