Anyone Ever Heard Of Spyderfest?

April 24th - 28th will be the fourth annual Spyderfest.

http://www.spyderfest.com/

It's kind of like Sturgis for Can Am Spyders.

BRP Can Am's parent company is bringing their semi full of different Spyders and you can test ride any or all of them for free.

Food, Vendors, Rides and more.

The last time I checked, they had over 1,000 Spyders preregistered.

It's amazing to see what people do to trick them out. It’s quite a spectral to see.

Charles when you are too old and unable to hold up your bike and still want to ride, you will change your mind. I know it isn't 2 wheels, but it's better than a convertible as far as the riding experience goes. When I can no longer hold mine up. You will still find me riding, 3 wheels are better than nothing. For some people it's actually better than 2. More stable, you don't have to put your feet down when you come to a stop. If you have problems with balance? Or if you have any of the problems where bones can break, 3 wheels are harder to drop. You don't have to worry about not being able to walk again if you drop it. I know a lot of Harley riders who have switched. Never say never, and don't knock it until you try it. It's a lot more fun than you think. Personally, I'll stay on 2 as long as I can, but when the time comes and I can't hold it up any more, you'll see me on 3.

You know "a lot" of Harley riders that switched? Interesting. I know a couple that are riding Harley Davidson trikes because of health reasons though.

I've been there. Went to see the vendor for Ultimate Seats and got a great set of seats for my Stratoliner. I enjoyed the booths but there werent' a lot of other bikers (two wheeled) there so I didn't stay long.

The Sturgis comment is do to the fact that it has become the biggest Can Am Spyder event in the world. It started 4 years ago with a few guys on spyderlovers.com saying we're going to go on a ride around Cuba, anyone who wants to join us is welcome.
They had 125+/- people from all over the country show up. Blew them away. The next year they tried it again and over 350 people showed up. Last year they had over 650 people register and over 1000 people show up. As of a few weeks ago there were over 1000 people pre-registered. No other Can AM event is as big or growing as fast. Like Sturgis it started with a few friends and grew. Like Sturgis it's the biggest "Spyder" event in the world. Like Sturgis people come from every state in the union, Mexico, Canada, and Europe. So it may not be Sturgis, but there are several similarities to draw from.
PS: It's not as wild and crazy as Sturgis, but it is a lot of fun.

This is a four day event that you can drop by anytime you want to check it out. If you have a Spyder, I would encourage you to attend. We have been for the last two years and it's a ball. People from all over the country, Canada, Mexico, and I the last couple of years we've even had people from Europe. For more information check out the website. You can also check out spyderlovers.com.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
