Meetup.com automatically sends out reminder and notification emails. When you have a lot of events on the calendar, as we do, this adds up to a lot of emails, maybe more than some people want to receive.
If you feel you are getting to many emails, you can change your settings so that you don't receive them. When you are logged in, at the top of any page, you will see, to the right of your name,
If you click on that, another page will come up and on the left side you will see
"Membership and Communication".
If you click on that, it will bring up your email settings. You can then pick and choose the types of notifications you would like to receive, choose all or none.
I just don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed with emails. When we set up a new meetup, we will not select to email the group announcing the meetup. So remember to check the calendar often for new events.
