Has anybody attended a lock and key event? If so what is it like? Is it always the same people?

    March 6, 2013

    • Marilynb

I'm def going to try at some point. As the teleconference said, you need to get out if your comfort zone.

      March 6, 2013

    • Marcy

Different people do attend the Lock and Key events.

  • Barbara

So, what did everyone think of the teleconference last night?

    March 6, 2013

    • Marilynb

I thought it was good but I had to drop out early so I missed the end. What were ur thoughts Barbara?

      March 6, 2013

    • Barbara

I felt it was very informative. I've listened to several other teleseminars on dating before, but none compared to the insight and content of this one. I also liked the qualifications of these 2 presenters as opposed to other ones who just shared their perspective on dating but did not have the education or experience to back it up.

I never brought anyone with me on a date unless there was a specific plan to double date with another couple.

I would like to make an adjustment to the statement I said last night about chemistry the point I was trying to make is there are a lot of men and women out there who are great options for long term relationships but unfortunately some people looking for the Barbie Ken profile those are the relationships ended up in turmoil . yes I believe attraction is important. attraction is only part of the picture

Hey - can I chime in with my thoughts?
I too thought this would be relatively simple...haha! That joke was on me!!! I have been dating 21/2 years and have dated all types. Courting went the way of the dinosaur. I recently decided to take things slower, so my first date with a man I spoke with online and everyday phone calls, I choose to meet for our first date this Sunday evening. He is a widower and claims to be looking for a serious relationship. Ok!!! We went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory - had a very nice time. He passionately kissed me good night and asked to see me again this Tuesday (Today) then this morning he texted me "would I like him to get us a room"? Wtf??? I just met him!!! Why do men expect sex in payment for one dinner?

    I just don't get it!

Chemistry grows in time it's not immediate

      March 5, 2013

    • Telma

I disagree 100% with Domenic. Chemistry is the one thing that is immediate! You either have or you don't. Love is what grows with time.

I'm going to say something off the wall. what most guys don't know is that the most passionate moments in a relationship have nothing to do with sex. For example passion comes from the willingness to please.

I have a question for all. im in my late 40"s ive been in 4 longterm relationships all my life. Why is it it feels like all the dating rules have changed. And when u let people know your lookin for a longterm relationship they run. I always wanted a woman who would be there for me as i was there for her. But i seem to find workaholics who forget there in a relationship. So unfortunately i have chosen to become a workaholic to avoid the whole dating situation. Maybe it feels safer that way.

Let me tell you ladies I'm way too young to waste my life with someone who does not want to explore life the last thing I want to see on a Friday night is some woman's b*** crack as she lays on my couch sleeping

    March 5, 2013

  • Adele

I'm following along in amusement and also in sadness. It is such a shame that what Shari just experienced is so common. That guy is a creep. The only good thing is that he showed it up front and she didn't waste any more time with him. I don't usually let the guy pay my share because I don't want them expecting anything in return. I'm not sure that solves the problem, but it makes me feel better.
