*** UPDATE 11/5/2009 ***

Our friends at Drupal Indy are hosting a HackFest in Indianapolis. I am creating this meetup to gather interest in carpooling from Columbus to Indianapolis to Columbus. It's a 3-hour drive, so we would be getting together around 8:30AM and depart from Columbus around 9AM. Even if you aren't sure, register as a Maybe so we have some idea of who *might* be interested.

Here is what Drupal Indy has to say about this event:
A Drupal Hackfest is an open gathering for Drupal users to bring their Drupal questions, problems, and projects. They are great for both Newbies & Ninjas!

Location: Offices of Midwest Internet
Date: Saturday, November 7, 2009
Time: 12pm - 6pm
Additional Notes:The location comes with hi-speed wireless internet. Most attendees bring laptops for their work. Pizza will be provided at no charge to attendees around 1pm. Bring friends who are interested in Drupal! Attendees may be gathering afterwords for dinner and drinks.

I haven't thought about this after saying 'maybe'. What do you think the logistics of the carpool are going to be?

I'm North of 270. Do you want to chat about this Nov. 4? Or nail down specifics before that time?

Hi Matt. I'd like to make an announcement to the group on or before Nov 4 about our plans. Chatting about it beforehand is a good idea.

What do you think about meeting at Westland mall at the corner of I-270 and W Broad St? There's plenty of parking and it's close to where we need go anyway: I-70W exit. If security of our belongings is a concern, we could always meet at my house, I live near the westside of Columbus.

    Peace,
    Brian

Hmm... If I can get from Cleveland to Columbus, can I hitch with someone to Indy?

Since Steve and co. are coming as well, we'll probably need to take more than one car.

I want to go, but not sure you'd have room for me, and probably Shawn too.... and my wheelchair. If we drive, I have a van with room for 6.

Hey Daddygeek, are you meeting us in Columbus or are we meeting up with you somewhere between Columbus and Indy on I-70.

Sharon, does your van hold 6 additional people plus you and Shawn (8 person van)?

Jeff, I see you're still registered as a maybe (driving from Cleveland to Columbus). Let us know if you can make it. If you can, let me know your phone number (mobile, preferred) so I can get in touch with you.

Matthew, great observation about needing an additional car. How many people from Kosada will be coming? (feel free to chime in Steve) Would anyone at Kosada be willing to drive that second car?

Brian --- from Kosada, just Matt and I will be going. I'm up for driving if needed.

If there is room, could I ride to the meeting with you? I can meet you at the McDonald's on exit 29 in Dayton around 10am. Otherwise, I will meet you there. My cell# 513-560-5867...please let me know either way.
    Thanks!

Sharon let me know that she has additional guests she would like to bring and a person she wants to visit in Indy. She might caravan with us on the way there, but she will definitely be taking her own transportation because she has a different return schedule.
