COUNT focuses on volunteering and outreach. The projects that we take on are those that help the world around us and positively affect the lives and reputations of atheists and other non believers.
Every week we will meet to review those upcoming projects and then spend some time discussing a weekly topic that will help develop and support the local atheist/non-theist community, discuss secular viewpoints, encourage a positive atheist/non-theist culture, and provide opportunities for socializing and friendship.
This week, in connection with Darwin Day, we will be discussing how the atheist community/movement has evolved and how we envision it evolving in the future. How have you evolved in your thinking? Is there anything we can/should do to speed along evolution of non-belief?
If we have time, we’ll open up the floor to other topics. Afterwards, we are would love to spend time hanging out, having a few drinks, and getting to know one another.
Atheist, agnostics, other non-theists, and atheist-friendly people are welcome to join us.
