The Center For Inquiry (Northeast Ohio) will be hosting a Secular Summit on Sunday, February 24 and Monday, February 25. There will be speakers and a chance to meet with state senators and representatives to let them know that, as their constituents, we're counting on them to uphold the Constitution (specifically the First Amendment, and more specifically the separation of church and state) when they vote on legislation. Also: IT'S FREE.
If you are interested in participating please both RSVP here (just for COUNT to know about our members' participation) and also sign up directly at http://secularsummit.eventbrite.com/.
E mail Monette Richards ([masked]) from CFINO for more details. There is also an event page on FB at http://www.facebook.com/events/528129227206735/
Everyone that is interested in meeting up please join us in the front lobby of the Holiday Inn by 12:30 on Sunday for the COUNT group to go into the conference together. The welcome is at 1 p.m. and the speakers will begin at 1:30. Please bring notebook/pen or tape recorder (if they are allowed) in order to take away some ideas from this event. Closing is 4:30.
