COUNT Discussion Meeting: Topic - "National Day of Prayer/Reason"

COUNT focuses on volunteering and outreach. The projects that we take on are those that help the world around us and positively affect the lives and reputations of atheists and other non believers.

Every week we will meet to review those upcoming projects and then spend some time discussing a weekly topic that will help develop and support the local atheist/non-theist community, discuss secular viewpoints, encourage a positive atheist/non-theist culture, and provide opportunities for socializing and friendship.

This week, we will be discussing the National Day of Prayer and the National Day of Reason. Both of these days occur on May 2nd. What are these two days? Why do we have them? Do you celebrate either of these days? Is there something that COUNT should do for the National Day of Reason?

If we have time, we’ll open up the floor to other topics.Afterwards, we are would love to spend time hanging out, having a few drinks, and getting to know one another.

Atheist, agnostics, other non-theists, and atheist-friendly people are welcome to join us.

6:30 Introductions/Get Settled

Had a conflict come up and probably won't be able to make it as I originally thought I would.
