Jeld-Wen Host And Tour...

...Mike Walker and the Product Innovation group offered to host a Meetup and give us a tour of their facility... quoting, "Our group would be interested in hosting the next meeting here (give a little tour)"...

It would certainly foster a sense of realism about the kind of tools and square footage we're talking about...

The main entrance will be locked, please park on the North Side of Building E (behind the building) There will be an open garage door / man door for safe and easy access.

Thanks Mike, Bill and Marci! Well done. If this kind of demonstration doesn't get people interested in making a maker space... I dunno what will! Thanks Again (-\

Thanks for showing us the space and allowing the group to get a real feel for what can be accomplished with just 4000 sqft of space. Keep up the great work.

I won't be able to make this date/time. Would you JELD-WEN folks be willing to offer a make-up tour on another day?

The JELD-WEN tour will give makers and idea of what a Maker Space can look like. You will see plasma cutter, CNC dremel, 3-D printer, Makerbot printer, linear mill, lathe, sandblasting, powdercoating, mold making, vacuum forming, and more.

Jeld-Wen is not only hosting and giving us a tour of their facility, they are providing drinks and snacks! Thank you!

Let's wait for Larry to get back before we figure out a date for this. He'll be offline until Monday.

Mike, great idea and thanks for the generous offer. Let's plan on having you folks host the next meeting (whenever it happens.)
