I'd like to host a group of folks who are interested in either learning to weld or improving their welding skills. To this end I'm going to open my shop once a month for a discussion/work session. I will arrange other individual sessions as needed for individual projects. The first session will be Dec. 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The technologies we can explore include: Stick, MIG, TIG and Spot welding. Space is limited but if there is sufficient interest I will move some projects around to accommodate up to a dozen folks. I'm not representing my self as a certified welder or an accredited trainer, what I can offer is the equipment and the benefit of forty-four years of spark making experience.

Participants will have to sign a liability waiver and provide their own personal protective equipment.

I will provide some metal for practice but materials for actual projects must be provided by the participants.

Bill, I learned a lot at the session on Saturday. Thank you! I have been telling people all week that I finally was able to attend my dream class "Welding for the weekend warrior"

Bill, thanks so much for doing this. There's clearly a lot of interest from people! 'Would love to have attended but I'm in the middle of moving to a new house this weekend. Any chance you'll be doing more of these in the future? Perhaps after the new year, once people have made it thru the Holiday chaos?

I'm sorry I'm going to have to miss out on this. For one it's full, and for another I have a kids birthday party to attend. I'd would be very interested in attending something like this in the future. So Bill if you are up for it, please consider offering this again some time.

I'm hoping for a spot, should one open up. I could bring a bicycle frame that needs a brake tab welded on.

    Hey Bill,

Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it due to school commitments. Please let someone else in in my place.

FYI. If you plan on Arc welding with an old school fiber helmet, don't forget your safety glasses. You'll need them for chipping slag. If you need to borrow a helmet for a session let me know. ed

I'd love to attend, but this month is getting busy, so I changed my RSVP to no; so someone else can take my spot.

I am looking forward to this. I have several Solar Car team members who have signed up. Great idea! Let's get this ball rolling.

"Participants will have to sign a liability waiver and provide their own personal protective equipment." Do you have a list of what basic protective gear we would need and would Harbor Freight gear be sufficient for beginners?

Hi Bill. I'll be there. Happy to help in any way and share tips learned over 48 years of welding and fabrication. Credentialed too. Thanks, Ed
