Welding Open House (Morning)

  • Mar 15, 2014 · 9:00 AM
  • Bill's Shop

I'd like to host a group of folks who are interested in either learning to weld or improving their welding skills. The technologies we can explore include: Stick, MIG, TIG and Spot welding. Space is limited so sign up early. I'm not representing myself as a certified welder or an accredited trainer, what I can offer is the equipment and the benefit of forty-four years of spark making experience.

THIS IS THE MORNING SESSION and is limited to 5 persons... If this one is full there is a second one offered in the afternoon.

Participants will have to sign a liability waiver and provide their own personal protective equipment.

I will provide some metal for practice but materials for actual projects must be provided by the participants.

    Thanks Bill & Ed.
I'm starting to get a really good feel for TIG welding. I'm looking forward to finding more projects to apply this knowledge.

I LOVED IT!!! Bill and Ed were amazing teachers. Both incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, good-hearted people with decades of hands-on experience to share. I would highly recommend this Welding open-house, and anything else they were involved in putting on, to anyone. I will certainly be attending everything I can from them. They had a real attention to safety, which I appreciate. I learned so much in so little time.

I'll have to bow out due to a schedule conflict. I hope to attend a future workshop. I changed my RSVP to let someone else have my spot.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking forward to getting along on Saturday! Ed, do you mind if I borrow one of those extra helmets you mentioned?

Greetings everyone. I have extra helmets to loan. They're old school, fiber....nothing fancy. Ed

Great Bill I look forward to it. Let me ask you: I don't have a welding helmet. If I get a cheap one at harbor freight or something, do you know if they're made out of some kind of cheap, Chinese glass that still allows the wrong kind of light into your eyes? Can you recommend a place to get a cheap welding helmet that works good and is safe?

I'll be sure to not schedule anything else that day this time. :)
