The Central Oregon Nordic Club (CONC) organizes a broad range of cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and hiking events and tours. CONC provides opportunities to meet other cross-country and back country enthusiasts and make new friends. The club supports youth ski programs and introductory lessons for all ages in the Bend area. Another very important aspect of the CONC is maintaining cross-country skiing and snow shoeing trails and shelters. The club is responsible for stocking shelters with firewood. The CONC is a strong advocate for back country activities with the US Forest Service and other public agencies. CONC offers a broad range of volunteer opportunities for back country enthusiasts.
