After some blister, cuts, hard won fires, baskets, wooden spoons. tossed spears, twisted cords and some strange deserts, I can say we had a great time!

Thanks to Greg for organizing this relaxing weekend. I really enjoyed twining my first basket, but sorry I didn't think to offer Ty some $$ for the twine. Hope to see you all again.

Relaxed, great group of people, male and female. Good instruction in spear throwing, basketry and fire starters. Very knowledgeable leader/instructor and volunteer teachers very knowledgeable in their field of expertise and skills. I have gained from this experience and can expand my confidence in a more primitive setting, thinking out of my Industrial Revolutionary box. Thanks to all the good teachers and participants.

Great basic outdoor skills and making tools with what is available in your environment. Every person should know these basic things such as making tools and starting a fire..

today Thursday a friend and I took a trial run out to the campsite for the primitive skills weekend event may 30 to june 1st. it was a nice ride, all the roads are great and marked very well. Looks like a great place for this event, it has a very large meadow and a creek somewhere near by. If any ladies going to the event friday evening and want to meet up at Mc Donalds restaurant in Sisters we could caravan out. I will look for a post, my phone number is[masked] if you want to give me a call. Otherwise its easy to find.

A caravan would be great, so glad other ladies are attending. Hi, Cindy and Courtney and others.

I have been up that road and pretty familiar with that area but not sure of the exact location. Kind of looks like it might be one of the horse camps right be the creek there. If it is that is a real nice spot.

I know some of you are concerned about finding the camp. I'll send my cell # to all attendees. Call me and I'll walk you through the directions. I had good reception at the camp, so if you needed someone to guide you in you can call. If any of you want to set a time to meet caravan up, start a discussion here or on the discussion page. let me know how I can help.

sounds fun Greg. We will be returning from Utah the 23rd so should work out fine. I can teach spoon making, bow drill, split wood fire(one stick fire) making and everything that goes along with that such as fire lays, dakota fires, etc.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
