SignalR - Real world scenarios

SignalR - Real world scenarios

We've been hearing about how SignalR enables the real-time web. But what does that actually mean?  Now that it's been out for a few years, how is it working in production?  Chris will introduce ASP.NET SignalR and show how it enables two-way communication between your client and server.  Then we'll look at real world scenarios such as how to integrate with existing services and how to debug when things go wrong.  We'll also explore the scale-out solutions and think about the cutting edge of what this technology enables.

Speaker:
Chris Gomez

Chris has been writing Windows software professionally for 19 years. His day
jobs have included developing kiosks for theme parks, building portfolio analytics for commercial lending, and facilitating exchange of clinical documents. His hobby for game development started much earlier by making games using ASCII characters in text mode using BASICA. Today, he leads the Philly GameWorks game development group in Malvern, PA at www.phillygameworks.org.

One of the most useful presentation we have had!!! I had no idea how easy it was to implement Signalr. This one is definitly in the skill booster/will use category. Thank you very much Chris.

I recently wrote a file upload example that uses SignalR to display a progress bar. SignalR is pretty cool; you want to learn this.
