Cosmic Encounter

Cosmic Encounter is one of the true classics of board games, credited with inspiring the designs of such other games as Magic: The Gathering, Illuminati, and Small World. Originally designed in the 1970's, it has been republished and refined numerous times. The current edition is the most successful and most playable ever.

In the depths of space, the alien races of the Cosmos vie with each other for control of the universe. Alliances form and shift from moment to moment, while cataclysmic battles send starships screaming into the warp.

Players choose from dozens of alien races, each with its own unique power to further its efforts to build an empire that spans the galaxy. Many classic aliens from earlier editions of this beloved game return, such as the Oracle, the Loser, and the Clone. Newly discovered aliens also join the fray, including Remora, Mite, and Tick-Tock. No two games are the same!

I have all the expansions, so I can handle up to 7 players. If you have a copy of the game, let me know and I will expand the number of people who can attend. This is a joint event with the Austin Geeks and Gamers Meetup. RSVP on one meetup or the other, but not both please.

Three attending and only 1 spot available? Is it just going to be a 4-player game?

We have 9 more coming from the Austin Geeks and Gamers meetup. Should have enough for two tables.

Johann, I asked my son (Eduardo) to create his own meetup, this way I don't need to use my meetup for secure a spot for him. So, he already joined here and I'm opening my spot in the Cosmic Encounter. Thanks
