Central Texas Foodies member Jill Shah has volunteered to hostess a meetup at Mother's Cafe & Garden, a well-known local vegetarian restaurant and Austin landmark.

For those of you who are vegetarians, this should be a welcome change from our regular gatherings, with a wider selection than usual.

For those of us who are omnivores, we can find new dishes to tantalize our tastebuds.

Hi there,

I'm new to this group and look forward to joining in on the Meet-ups. I have a question, though. I see there is a $5.00 RSVP fee for this Meet-up. How is that money used? Does it help defray the cost of the meal? Pay for a tip? I have not been able to find an explanation for this on the site.
