When I was a teenager, a family friend from India used to prepare feasts for my family. She'd spend 2 days preparing the meal and it was always *fantastic* although unbelievably spicy. We would eat and cry and eat and cry for hours...
I haven't experienced a lot of the fancier restaurants in Austin (although I'd love to try *all* of them out). I've always enjoyed Chez Nous because of the service and the ambience as much as for the food. Other favorites - Clay Pit, Tam Deli, Madam Mam's, Little Deli (pizza), Mother's. I wish I could find a really good Italian or Chinese restaurant in Austin - hoping to get some suggestions from this group!

I don't have a favorite - I love just about every kind of food.
I love good food and am always looking for new restaurants. I'd also like to become a better cook.
