What's your best or most interesting food memory?

Mussels in Brussels and pommes frites with aioli

What's your favorite restaurant and why?

Since I cook so much at home, I haven't been out to that many restaurants, especially the expensive ones. But one place I do frequent is the Asia Cafe at Spicewood Springs and Research Blvd.

If you could only have one cookbook, what would it be?

Cooking by James Peterson

Name your favorite cuisine.

It's a toss-up between Italian and French. But Thai is pretty close.

Originally from back East, I am a relative newcomer to Austin. I am a freelance cookbook editor and former professional baker. I am embarrassed to admit that I own over 300 cookbooks. I cook and bake A LOT for friends. I live to eat and talk food.
