A former personal chef and a family cook, I'm really all about the food (well, and the Morgan horses, and the quilts, and the real estate, and the books, and a couple/three other things), so I'm sure we'll find something to talk about!
Any time that I've cooked with a group, from college on. There's something special about everybody working in the kitchen together.
At the moment, Louisiana Longhorn, though Azul Tequila runs a close second. LL is the only restaurant I've had two religious experiences at in one meal.
Probably my old, worn, dog-eared copy of Joy of Cooking from back when I got married in 1972. Not for the recipes but for the facts contained therein - the recipes I can make up myself!
Louisiana, right now. It (what my favorite is) varies, meanders, hops, skips, jumps, depending on season, availability, time of day and mood.
