Introduction

Bought our Round Rock home a couple years ago, and have a darling Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sasha. I don't know too many people to talk with about recipes. I love to cook, but hate the constant tidying up the kitchen afterward! I need a servant.

What's your best or most interesting food memory?

I remember one year while I still lived at home many years ago, how fun it was when Mother and I made endless recipes/methods of cheesecakes to find our favorite one(s). Friends and family all looked forward to our next recipe.

What's your favorite restaurant and why?

We are "new" to Round Rock and do not know any restaurants. Where do local people go for a good breakfast, seafood, chinese, steaks, and at reasonable prices? (My husband is now retired, but we do splurge for special occasions!)

If you could only have one cookbook, what would it be?

Betty Crocker Cookbook. It has given me the BASICS throughout many years. My husband is learning to cook, and he has used Betty Crocker for things like Pea Soup, Bean Soup, Meat Temp Charts (me too!), and we both use it for just basic "inspiration"!

Name your favorite cuisine.

Healthy, delicious soups. Also, enjoy cooking French, French-Canadian, and Chinese/oriental food. Italian, for sure. Enjoy baking when not rushed. Since relocating to Texas in 2006, we have started adding Creole seasoning to many things..
