Los Padres National Forest hike, Spectacular Coast Hike

If u like road trips u will love this hike, we will be driving down highway 1 south of Monterey and passing by Big Sur until we get to the Silver Peak Wilderness area. If u have never driven this part of highway 1 this would be a great time to see it. People travel from all over the world to see the spectacular views our coastline has to offer and it is only a few miles from us. We will park right off the highway and hike to the ridge and depending how everyone feels we can explore the ridge. Total hike should be 4-6 miles depending on how we feel. If u like taking pictures of the coast it does not get any better than this! Along the way we can stop and take snap shots of the coastline or hike any number of different trails along the way. The trail that i want to hike should be well maintained and elevation gain should be at least 1000 feet if i remember correctly. Feel free to ask any questions.                                                                                                                                                                                              **********************************************************Make sure u bring layered clothing,EXTRA SOCKS, water, food, hat and anything else u might think of.

hi all, I'm going to offer to drive as well. I will have a dog (Sal I know you said he could go with you, but I just feel bad if the car is full and I have a dog) but anyone is welcome if we need more room. Sal, do you know the name of the trail? I just want to confirm dogs are allowed...cant wait!!!
